Unfortunately they don't typically go away on their own. The good news is they're completely harmless from a medical standpoint - just a cosmetic concern for most people. I've had them since my late twenties and initially I was really bothered by them too. You have options though. You can leave them alone if they're not bothering you, or you can have them removed. The removal process is pretty straightforward these days and most people have good results. It really comes down to how much they're affecting your confidence and quality of life.
